  • Balanced Rock, Turret Arch and La Sal Mountains, Moab, Utah.
  • Morning at Courthouse Tower in Arches National Park. Despite the appearance of this picture, the water is in a relatively tiny pool (3 to 4 feet across). There is a large open area of sandstone with many depressions that gets filled with water after a rain. Sunrise wasn't much since the clouds were still clearing but later on in the morning I was able to capture this image (while on a photo workshop with Jon Fuller).

  • Though not taken during the best light (sunrise) this is a morning shot overlooking Arches National Park. This vantage point is from within the second arch of Double Arch in the Windows section looking west. Buildings are visible at the base of the far canyon.
